Howdy from New York City!

This summer I'm excited to be randomly traveling about the country as Musical Director for Camp Broadway. We'll be doing week long camps where kids attend classes on acting, scene study, improv, music, singing and dance as we work on our "Family Finale" performance. Camps are partnered with national tours and include attending the show along with a luncheon and/or Q&A with cast and crew members. I participated while on both the "Brooklyn" and "All Shook Up" tours.

I had the pleasure of performing on a "Lyrics and Lyricists" program at the 92nd St. Y with Andrea Marcovicci and guests, Lee Lessack, Francesca Amari, Kelly Houston, and Stacy Sullivan. I joined Stacy and her sister, KT Sullivan on the late night WOR radio show hosted by Joey Reynolds.

My Broadway debut came with subbing on Keyboard for the wonderful, Greg Anthony (Associate Conductor) at Disney's "The Little Mermaid." The orchestrations are beautiful and it is a fun book to play if you like taking on the role of "harpist" a fair amount of the time! and I do! Every show, the crowd goes wild when the introduction to "Under The Sea" begins.

It's been an amazing several months since moving to the East Coast. In February '08, I was one of a handful of musical directors participating in the NYU Graduate Musical Theatre Residency at Goodspeed Opera House. Over the course of the week, we each worked on multiple student numbers and my contribution ran the gamut from MD/pianist, to Conductor and even Percussionist. More recently many of us were back working on end of semester presentations. I was thrilled to be reunited with my "Whoville" buddy, director Ben Klein. March-May brought my first Off B'way production, "Shlomo, The New Musical," which tells the life story of Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach. Known as the Hippie Rabbi, he wrote hundreds of songs and embraced popular music styles to preach his message. We had a top notch and robust music department. In addition to Associate Musical Director/Key 2 duties, I worked with Chelsea Music on the music preparation/copying. It was also my first "cast recording" session.
